Letters to Editor

Thank You to Catherine Lynch for a well-presented letter to the editor of the Billings Gazette, printed in today’s issue:

Reasonable discussion is the best way to show folks what it is we are actually asking for. Our requested ordinance actually protects the city more than the ambiguous “livestock and/or livestock and fowl” ordinance already in place. Once we can really show people what an urban chicken “looks like”, the less they will fear out-of-control flocks of poultry and all the problems that would entail… much like out of control packs of dogs or cats. As Catherine pointed out, Billings already has ordinances addressing many of those potential problems, and they do so effectively.
