Magic City Hen Expo
What: A fun, family-oriented event to bring the interested public in contact with information, suppliers and backyard pet hens/city chickens. “Hen Zone” petting area, Urban Hens 101 classes and other classes/presentations, urban chicken movies “Chicken Revolution”, Parade of Hen Homes coop displays. Outdoor family fun!
When: Saturday, September 21, 2013
Where: Pending approval – Billings, MT
Who: Sponsored by the Magic City Hens, a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational organization of local citizens interested in supporting and educating the public about backyard hens.
This will be a great day to get outside, meet some friendly backyard hens and all the local folks offering anything related to Urban Henkeeping, from coops to chicks, feed stores to composters, veterinarians to landscapers. Bean Bag Tournament, crafters, a Hen Zone Petting Area, and lots, lots more! Presentations and classes from local producers and those teaching Do It Yourself skills related to local and sustainable food production! Great activities for kids to get involved and have fun making crafts, playing games, etc.

Was wondering could other chickens farmers come to this and bring their chickens outside of Magic City ? Like us who live in Absarokee, columbus ???

We’d be happy for other chicken farmers to come… the only chickens in attendance at this event will be in a children’s “hen-zone petting zoo” (inside fencing) though. What did you have in mind? (“>
